Pastels and pastries inside the new Isha Family Patisserie which has opened in Fosse Park

A new family bakery has just opened its first branch, in Food Central in Fosse Park.

Isha Patisserie aims to offer an exciting new concept with colorful and innovative dishes, with an emphasis on high quality cakes of all varieties, made from local ingredients.

The new business was launched by three sisters – including one with a pastry background – assisted by their parents.

They all say they are passionate about food and travel and aim to bring together flavors they have experienced around the world. Everything will be made fresh daily, with the menu changing to reflect the seasons.

According to the family, customers can enjoy high-end pastries finished with specialized culinary techniques, mixed with a few home comforts.

The menu, which has been created with the help of Michelin-starred chefs, will include a regularly changing selection of pastries, including honey cake, pistachio and rose cake, and a variety of cheesecakes, as well as coffee, tea and mocktails.

Soon to be added to the menu are all-day breakfast and brunch items, such as French toast and eggs Benedict, as well as an afternoon tea and evening menu.

The new restaurant is spread over two floors, with the pastry counter and kitchen on the ground floor, and a lounge area upstairs.

The owners’ Fijian background inspired the look of the patisserie, which is bright and colorful, with lots of flowers and greenery adding to the appeal.

Isha Patisserie is open from 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. today, Saturday December 18, and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday December 19.
