Margiotta from Edinburgh to sell Waitrose products


A SCOTTISH family-owned convenience store has hailed a new partnership with Waitrose which will see hundreds of the grocery giant’s lines available in the corner store.

More than 600 Waitrose products will go on sale at Margiotta’s 10 stores over the next few weeks with the first launch at her Dundas Street store in Edinburgh on Tuesday.

Six more locations will follow on Thursday with product arriving at the two remaining Margiotta stores at the start of the new year after renovations to those stores are completed.

Ready meals, sans and vegan ranges, prepared fruits and vegetables, meat, snacks and necessities will all be available, as well as flowers and seasonal foods, which will include a selection from the Waitrose range. Christmas.

Margiotta has been doing business in Edinburgh for over 30 years and has expanded to East Lothian as well, and the company said it prides itself “on the quality and freshness of its food and making the experience of its clients with them as accommodating as possible.

The selection of Waitrose products will add to Margiotta’s range of freshly baked goods and pastries and sandwiches, wraps and salads, which are prepared daily in her kitchen.

Waitrose said it plans to explore more potential partnerships in the UK, including Scotland, in the future, which will allow us to reach new customers in areas where there is demand.

It supplies two Shell stores in Scotland and offers John Lewis click and collect in 80 locations.
