The Greater Birmingham area is booming with openings and new businesses on the way. From the opening of K&J’s Elegant Pastries in Uptown on April 22 to a new ThirsTea Cafe in mid-May, here’s what needs to be on your radar right now.

1. Bossi Leisure

Get ready to strut your stuff, Mountain Brook—Bossi Leisure is heading to English Village in May. The brand new women’s leisurewear store features a number of brands like ALO, Spiritual Ganster, 9 Seeds, BOSSI and many more!

2. Hugh Kaul Trail

Put on your walking shoes and walk the Hugh Kaul Trail, which is part of it anyway.

Freshwater Land Trust officially opened a segment of the newly completed trail on April 22. It begins at 1st Avenue South and 24th Street and ends in the center of the Avondale Entertainment District at 41st Street.

When completed, the entire Hugh Kaul Trail will be 2.5 miles long and will connect Birmingham city center to Ruffner Mountain. Get the full story here.

Do you like boba tea? Get ready to smile in May with the opening of ThirsTea Cafe in Helena. Yes, this will be the drink’s third location in the Greater Birmingham area to get your boba fix.

Located in the Walmart Mall in Helena, the new store will offer around 40 beverages, Taiwanese shaved ice and poke bowls.

What’s Your Flav has opened in Hoover, just in time for summer too! The business, which started out as a popular food truck where you could grab a refreshing ice cream, now has its very first storefront on Montgomery Highway in Hoover!
