French patisseries ‘Le Macaron’ are now open in Somerville


SOMERVILLE, MA – Le Macaron French Pastries recently opened a location at 411 Artisan Way in Somerville.

The Somerville location is the bakery’s first location in Massachusetts, with a second planned in Cambridge. Le Macaron currently has more than 60 other branches across the country.

Founded by mother-daughter duo Rosalie Guillem and Audrey Guillem-Saba, Le Macaron offers signature macarons in a variety of flavors, gourmet chocolates, French ice cream, classic French pastries, European-style drinks and candies made home. Some locations can also serve a variety of wines and sparkling wines.

“Handcrafted in our own confectionery, our macaroons make delicious holiday desserts or a fun treat for you and a friend,” the bakery’s website reads. “At around 80 calories each and made without gluten-containing ingredients, these sweet treats are great for sharing and gifting for any occasion.

Macaron flavors include Basil White Chocolate, Belgian Chocolate, Blackcurrant Jam, Chewing Gum, Praline, Coconut, Colombian Coffee, Birthday Cake, Lavender White Chocolate, lemon cream, black vanilla from Madagascar, mango jam, white chocolate with mint, Grand Marnier chocolate orange, raspberry jam, red velvet, rosé, salted caramel, Sicilian pistachio and key lime- strawberry.
