A new bakery from a Dallas pastry chef has found a home in our neighborhood.

The Lubellas pastry shop will open in the Casa View shopping center. The bakery is owned by Maria Becerra, who worked at Buillon and Flora St. Cafe, and her husband, chef Ismael Trejo Gonzalez.

Becerra has been making personalized cakes and other desserts for weddings, birthdays and other occasions since the start of the pandemic.

The Casa View location, named after Becerra’s daughters Luciana and Isabella, will feature plenty of French and Mexican pastries. Becerra plans to start with desserts such as slice cakes, and from there she wants to expand the menu to include breakfast dishes and even lunch.

Becerra told CultureMap that she is making everything from scratch. The bakery will also offer coffee drinks.

The goal is to open Lubellas Patisserie in the fall, in time for the holidays. It will be located at 10323 Ferguson Road. City of Dallas records show that the last tenant to occupy this space was W. Wheels Snow Cone.
